Ken and Karen Breyer were our featured speakers at our first meeting.  They are certified Master Gardeners and shared their personal experiences with several community gardening projects. Their Power Point talk included instructions on:

  1. appropriate vegetables that can be planted in February
  2. a demonstration of planting seeds in small containers
  3. a discussion and demonstration of composting

Their presentation was well received by the 32 participants and it was the consensus that we should plan such meetings for the last Sunday evening of each month. The next meeting will be in Victoria's main Assembly room
