I am not a business man nor the son of a business man but for several years I have been exploring some possible businesses that Christians could operate and earn a living and still be able to keep the Sabbath as Scripture directs. Many Christians are fearful of losing their jobs if they refuse to work on Sabbath or cannot find employment because they do not want to work on the Sabbath. I feel that as a result of these years of prayerful designing, testing, and consulting that the Lord has led me to a simple business plan that has very low start up costs. It is an advertising business that is directed to meet the needs of small community-based businesses. The Tag line for the business is: "Focused Advertising for Community Shops."
I have developed a business plan, an advertising brochure to solicit business from shop owners, and an advertising flier to promote the business of 14 shops who agree to sponsor space in the flier. The business is called Win 100 because those who receive the flier with 14 coupons can use those to enter a drawing to win $100. All they have to do to enter the drawing is to visit one or more of the sponsoring shops and deposit their coupon (with name, phone number and email address on the back) in the receptacle provided. On the appointed day a drawing will be conducted to determine who the winner is. Shop owners will pay $1 for each returned coupon. The advertising brochure to solicit business from shop owners is created using Publisher. If you do not have Publisher software I can put your contact information in the brochure and provide you with a pdf file so that you can get it printed. I am making all of this available as shareware to individuals who visit our church's web site. Should it prove to be valuable to you we suggest that in return for the value received that you contribute to our building fund.
This business plan has not yet been tested so I am hoping you will choose to try it. (I am retired.)
